The relationship between people and salmon is complex and always changing! Ensuring salmon sustainability is impossible without a deep understanding of the (sometimes turbulent) relationship between salmon and human society.

Let instructor Peter Westley be your river guide this spring as you explore this relationship and key pressing issues facing salmon and salmon-dependent people in Alaska and beyond.

This four-credit class will feature dozens of topic experts, discussion, as well as hands-on lab work to create a project to share with the world that increases salmon ‘literacy’.
